Review
When it comes to Harry Potter’s movies the graphics, the cinematography, screenplay, visuals, and parallel soundtrack are unmatched. The movie has been g fourth in the series does not become monotonous and fills the hearts and minds of their audience with the same excitement as the last one. Along with telling a fantasy story, the makers of the film also show the transition of the trio – Harry, Ron, and Hermione from kids to teenagers.
Compared to the book the movie has simply removed most of the scenes in the film that were mentioned in the book. This is because the book ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ was a lengthy book and the makers go the film wanted to show only the scenes that were directly related to Harry Potter and evicted most of the side plots.
Harry potter and the goblet of fire can be seen online on popular OTT apps like Prime Video and Netflix. You can also watch harry potter return to hogwarts with subtitles to get the best viewing experience.
Differences
Dumbledore’s epic reaction
When Harry is selected for the Triwizard Tournament Dumbledore loses his calm and angrily asks Harry as to why he gave his name for the tournament. The Triwizard Tournament was only for wizards above the age of seventeen moreover it was a deadly tournament.
The book captures the different reactions of Dumbledore. Instead of being furious with Harry, Dumbledore calmly asks him about the reason for Harry being selected for the tournament.
The film takes tournament tasks on a different level
The first task of the tournament is to get the Golden eggs from the Hungarian Horntail. The movie shows it breaking free from the arena and chasing harry out of the arena. This does not happen in the book version and all the action is contained in the arena itself.
Ludo Bagman does exist in the movie.
Ludo Bagman is the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Bagman is the one that helps organize the Triwizard Tournament. In fact, Bagman’s relations with Voldemort are also doubted in the book. Bagman is a Quidditch player and is addicted to gambling. The addiction goes to the extent of drowning him into a huge debt. The character just does not appear in the movie.
Obstacle removed from the third challenge
The third challenge and the decisive part of the tournament has many obstacles but they were just too many for the makers of the film. Therefore a few of them were simply removed from the challenge.
There is a Sphinx guarding the Triwizard cup only to give way if the player solves its riddle. Other obstacles are Skrewts, Boggarts, an Acromantula that turn things upside down. The third challenge becomes much less exciting and shows the hurry of the filmmaker to end the tournament.
