You can watch IPTV channels on a variety of different devices thanks to a variety of IPTV apps on the market. While some apps cost money, many are free. It is important to note that they don’t all operate in the same way. It is rather arduous to stream IPTV across different devices since some apps are restricted to a particular platform.
SIPTV, or Smart IPTV, is another worthy choice for those of you seeking a powerful IPTV player across many Smart TV platforms. There are a number of different IPTV player applications available on various platforms, and this is one of the oldest running ones.
What is Smart IPTV (SIPTV)?
SIPTV gives you easy access to IPTV channels that you want with an EPG (Electronic Program Guide), a software that comes with an IPTV player. However, you will need to subscribe to an IPTV service if you wish to add your own channels, as it is already stated on their official website. Many people believe the app will come with channels already loaded, but this isn’t true at all.
It is required to add your own channels in order to enjoy the benefits of using this app. You should learn how to install SIPTV on your preferred devices before trying to add channels to the app, since that will take some time.
This app can be installed on some devices as simply as installing an app on your phone, but on some other platforms there are a few steps you need to follow. As well, Smart IPTV does not support every platform so before using it, you should think about what devices it supports.
Which devices are compatible with SIPTV?
There are several different Smart TV platforms on which you can use the SIPTV app, not just Android. Although the app may not be available through the official app markets on some platforms, you can download the app directly from the official website.
SIPTV can be watched on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, LG and Samsung Smart TVs, as well as MAG devices at the time of writing. Then you are in luck because you can use smart IPTV without a problem if you have any of these devices.
What is the best way to install IPTV on my smart TV?
You can easily install IPTV on your Smart TV. To make the setup work, a specific model of Smart TV is required. The installation process for SIPTV is different if you have a Samsung Smart TV with Tizen OS, and the procedure is different if you have a LG Smart TV with WebOS. Neither of those things will be a problem for me.
Using Samsung Smart TV, how do I set up IPTV?
Due to unknown reasons, Samsung has removed the smart IPTV application from the official Samsung Apps Store, but it still can be downloaded and installed. For Tizen OS TVs, the steps are different from those for non-Tizen OS TVs.
The Tizen operating system
You will need to plug in an external USB drive if you have a Samsung TV running Tizen OS. Install the Linux and Tizen Widget zipped directories to the root of your USB drive after downloading the file from their official website. You will automatically see the app on your Samsung TV when you insert the flash drive. Extraction of zip-file contents to the root of the flash drive is recommended. If you do that, the app will remain on your TV even if the flash drive is removed.
Non-Tizen operating systems
You will need to download a different file if your Samsung TV does not run Tizen OS. Use an external USB drive to install the Orsay widget, first downloading it to its root, then dragging the file over to the TV from the drive. On your TV, you will find the SIPTV app under Samsung Apps. The USB drive can no longer be attached to either the TV or the USB drive once the app has been installed on the TV.
What is the Smart IPTV setup process for LG Smart TVs?
You can still download the SIPTV app from LG’s official app store. Therefore, you must visit the LG official app store and browse through the Entertainment category for IPTV apps. The LG TV app can be downloaded and installed with just one click by using this link. The LG Smart TV can be used with SIPTV once it is installed.
Please sign in through the LG App Store in any supported country if the app is not available in your country. The app will still be installed on your TV when you switch back to your original country’s account.
