Tactical shooters and battle royale games have taken over the gaming market tightly and keep popularity among many players due to the dynamics, realism and constant firefights in which players need to take part.
It doesn’t matter which game you prefer – Apex boosting, CS:GO, or PUBG – the tips will be the same for all games.
In order to emerge from a collision as a winner, you need to take into account several factors and develop various skills, and we’ll talk about them today.
What skills are needed to increase the chance to survive and destroy the enemy in battle:
- Movement
- Shooting
- Cunning
- Equipment
Movement
At first glance, it may seem that shooting plays an important role in shooters, this is true, but if you do not know how to move around the game map correctly, you will meet the enemy in a disadvantageous situation too often and lose the battle even with a higher shooting skill.
Shelters
Use covers at the first opportunity, move between them always expecting fire contact and keep your weapons ready – this will help you to be ready for battle and have an advantage in detecting the enemy. If the enemy spots you early, you will always have a chance to avoid fire contact using cover, or most of the bullets will hit the cover instead of you and save your life.
Strafes
Strafe is a tactical movement in which the fighter makes small movements to the left and right, complicating aimed shooting at him, but due to short movements, the unit itself does not lose the ability to fire accurately and hit the enemy with aimed fire.
Look around the corner
In many games, as in real combat, game developers have implemented a system to look around the corner to detect the enemy without exposing their body to automatic fire. Systematically and gradually look around the corner in search of the enemy and begin to fire in advance, before the return fire begins. This will increase the chance to exit the battle as a winner and without injury.
Squat-get up
Change positions while sitting, standing to confuse the enemy and reduce the chance of hitting your character in the head.
No need to do it randomly – train yourself to fight competently and with a cool head.
Shooting
Together with the correct movement on the map, the skill of good shooting will help you win most game duels and destroy most opponents.
To shoot well, you need to follow a few rules:
Aimed fire
Use a scope or a front sight to shoot. Do not shoot from the hip, counting that the bullets themselves will find the target – take the situation into your own hands.
Shoot Smart
Use single shooting at medium and long distances to ensure that you destroy the enemy, do not waste a lot of ammo and reduce the likelihood of quickly finding the place from where you are firing.
Use burst fire, or three rounds for close to medium range fire and guaranteed hitting the enemy with tight fire.
Use automatic fire only as a last resort and wean yourself from panic shooting. If the enemy came too close, then you didn’t shoot well before. Automatic fire consumes a lot of ammo, cannot be accurate, and always reveals the firing point in a matter of seconds.
Cunning
Cunning also plays a key role in shooters – correctly and competently take a position, quietly open fire on the enemy or a combat group, hide and go around.
Cunning is a skill that is pumped, in order to master it and become stronger as a player, you need to have a good understanding of game mechanics and always think with your head what you are doing. Your actions will not always end in victory, and this is normal, but the more practice and analysis you do, the more and better you will have combat victories.
Equipment
Equipment is last on our list, as it is an important and influencing, but not the main factor in the conduct of a battle.
You should always look for the best equipment and weapons that will give you an advantage on the battlefield, but that doesn’t mean that the strongest weapon will give you an advantage if you don’t know how to use it.
Learn to shoot with any weapon that is in the game and you will never have an uncomfortable situation on the battlefield. Remember that you can shoot the enemy with any weapon, and you should not attach great importance to this, but at the same time always upgrade your weapon to a more powerful and comfortable one for you.
For example, in CS GO there has always been a cult of AK – it kills from a headshot from any distance, but M4A1 does not. But the AK has a specific recoil when shooting and there are players who frankly do not like it, preferring the M4A1 and achieving good results with a weapon that is comfortable for them.
