According to Surprise Sports, the Emir of Qatar expressed his plan to host a spectacular firework display during the evening of the grand opening. As a result, FIFA changed the time of Qatar’s game to late evening.
This year’s FIFA World Cup will begin with the Group A match “Senegal vs the Netherlands” on November 21, 2022, at 13:00 AST. Moreover, it was recently revealed that the South Korean boy band BTS will perform the opening song during the inaugural event.

The group stage draw for Qatar World Cup 2022 was held on April 1, 2022, during the 72nd FIFA Congress held in Doha, Qatar.
